The East Tennessee Economic Council provides the opportunity to work with great companies for the benefit of all. ETEC’s mission is to work with the federal government, particularly the Department of Energy in Oak Ridge, to sustain existing programs and to create new economic opportunities.

The Department of Energy has big plans for its future here. Science and national security programs are in the middle of major capital programs to prepare both Oak Ridge National Laboratory and the Y-12 Plant for the missions of the 21st century. Environmental management programs are cleaning up legacy wastes, and making available new industrial properties and tools for private sector uses.

The East Tennessee Economic Council believes that working together we can build an industrial community that supports and enhances DOE’s core missions and helps our region prosper. Partnering is essential to our success and we would like your company to join in our work.
