Nuclear Company – TRISO-X
TRISO-X is a subsidiary of X-energy building a first-of-a-kind commercial nuclear fuel fabrication facility in Oak Ridge, Tennessee, to produce TRISO fuel for advanced reactors. The plant will create hundreds of jobs and is intended to establish a domestic supply chain for this highly robust and safe nuclear fuel, which is made of a uranium kernel surrounded by protective ceramic and carbon layers.
